Alma Mater

Alma Mater was my final project assignment for the Multimedia Design & Communication AP programme at Copenhagen School of Design & Technology. It was also my first personal project using Angular.js JavaScript framework.

Alma Mater is a web application representing a digital classroom, where teachers can share their documents and assignments, and where students can study the curriculum in a more immersive way. Each chapter consists of various sections of various media types, including text, videos, photo galleries and interactive tests.

The idea behind Alma Mater was to build a publishing platform for educational textbooks. This could make textbook distribution faster and easier and it would also present the opportunity to write modern interactive textbooks that leverage digital solutions, such as gamification or data analysis about studying habits.

This project involved market research, interface and product design, and front end development. Therefore the end product is not functional, but a proof-of-concept application, which is suitable for demonstrational purposes.
